The Golden Gate Bridge

My mother has been in town this week – which is a great opportunity to get out and see some sights! We returned to a view point I hadn’t visited in 6 or 7 years – a view of the Golden Gate Bridge as viewed from the North Bay / Sausalito Area.

1 Year Anniversary

Although Gregg and I had our ‘for show’ wedding just this June, we actually were married 1 year ago in Reno in a civil service! We are adopting October 12th as our official anniversary, in lieu of  June 5th – the family wedding.

As one of the few traditional things we did during all the wedding festivities, we saved the top of our cake to eat on our first anniversary. This was one of the most delicious cakes I have ever eaten. It was so wonderful to have it in my fridge for the whole 3 days it lasted until we ate it all. It was vanilla with vanilla frosting – my favorite!

The cake originally had all the continents on it (Antarctica was the only one misspelled)  – Antarctica was on top because it remains the only continent we have yet to visit together!
